The Exhibit

DARING TO LOOK, the exhibit, presents Lange’s work as more than an artifact of a distant time, as a portent also. It will feature a selection of Dorothea Lange’s 1939 black-and-white photographs and texts in the context of current conditions, as portrayed by Anne Whiston Spirn’s color photographs taken sixty-five years later.
